Suzi Zefting-Kuhn was born in Brooklyn, New York but has been a resident of Rochester since 1974. While she was exposed to art making in her early years through the art of her mom and her late brother, Suzi did not try it herself until she was in her mid thirties. When her youngest child headed off to college in 2001, Suzi began doing art full time. Locally she has studied with Sari Gaby, Wendy Gwirtzman, g.a. Sheller and Liz Durand. Nationally she has studied with Mary Whyte, Rob Liberace, Frank Serrano , Ellen Cooper, Susan Lyon and Elizabeth Robbins.
Suzi maintains a studio in the Hungerford Building in Rochester. She founded the Main Street Artists’ Gallery & Studio and is the current President of the historic Rochester Art Club.
Suzi exhibits regularly with the Main Street Artists, the Penfield Art Association, the Rochester Art Club and enters national pastel exhibitions every year. She has won numerous awards locally and won a national award in 2010 in Connecticut. Suzi has juried into the Northeast National Pastel Exhibition in Old Forge the last five years.
