When expressing deep feelings about a person, I want to make a beautiful being even more lovely. Painting from a model or a photo of a friend gives me an opportunity for imaginative play with fabrics and other items that come into my possession and/or awareness at the time. It is my chance to once again cut, paste, sew, and design.
