Local Artist, photographer and founder of the DRAW GROUP, Kate Lipsky has been accepted into the prestigious Kinsey Institute's 2009 Juried Art Show at the University of Indiana, Bloomington, Indiana.
Kate's artwork "Dusk" was included in the exhibition at the SoFA Gallery, Indiana University School of Fine Arts, May 29-July 31 and in a virtual exhibit on the official university website www.kinseyinstitute.org
The image selected is part of a body of work in progress entitled "Bodyscapes", under the mentorship of world class photographer, Ernestine Ruben. The image is one of 120 pieces selected by this year’s juror, art curator
for 20 years, Dr. Jennifer Cahn who has worked in museums in California, New York, Oregon, and Texas, as well as St. Petersburg, Russia.
Kate has studied with Ernestine Ruben for several years at Peters Valley Craft Center, Layton New Jersey, in the photography department with director of photography, Andy Schmitt. In February her work was exhibited by invitation
with the DRAW GROUP at Bausch & Lomb Gallery One, at B&L Headquarters.
