From a child I knew art would be in my life forever. On my Grandfather's farm, I drew portraits of friends and cousins, made multitudes of fairytale, Cinderella-like dresses for my dolls and of course I excelled in biology drawings of frog's reproductive organs, human brains and every extra-credit project in which a student could involve art.
Years after needing my advertising design for a living, the challenge has become to remove myself from representing exactly what is visually in front of me and to paint the human form with finesse and abandon. This does not come easily for me. So have patience with my variety of brushwork and technique, and soon an accomplished artist will appear.
